Global telecoms company has a fantastic opportunity for a web development manager based in London. The web development manager is paying between £55,000 to £60,000 with a good benefits package on top. The manager will take ownership and lead the development, support a& implementation of the Company's online portals (both externally & internally) & tactical systems. To effectively implement & professionally support solutions for all organisations across Europe. To effectively implement in accordance with IS' programme management methodology all systems/sites/developments on time & within agreed budget. To support the marketing teams in terms of branding/design/collateral requirements for online/offline campaigns. The key responsibilities will be to support the corporate IS strategy Supporting Applications Director IS, Sales & Marketing and Operational & Financial IS, to develop & implement the Corporate IS strategy. Ensuring that customer facing processes such as Marketing Websites, Portals, Service Support & offline media are supported by fit-for-purpose websites, print collateral, internal sites & online ordering portal systems capable of scaling to meet the needs of the expanding customer base &/or changes in the product & services portfolio. Manage the portal by ensuring all sites/projects/design/branding builds meet the required levels of compliance/technical functionality/branding. Ensure that relevant systems meet scalability and flexibility required in supporting the business' transition to higher value more complex solutions across Europe. Responsible for the development of systems/sites/portals that directly support the customer experience (both internal and external). Responsible for ensuring that correct levels of accessibility and user experience are maintained and that all output meets correct standards. Oversees Project Management of tasks and acts as support to are leaders within the team. Take a consultative approach to all customer interaction. Provides first contact point for clients (Internal Departments and External Providers/Contractors/Partners). Follows an effective requirements gathering process through, JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions, CRS's (Customer Requirements Specifications) documentation and managed PoC's (Proof of Concepts/trials) where appropriate. Accountable owner and contact for clients internal and external. Ensures technology platforms and methodology is 'best fit' for projects/customer requirements. Candidates must have strong commercial experience of website development/management and project and team management. Expert knowledge of Java/J2EE/JSP or .NET using databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server or comparable database is desirable. Expert knowledge of website functionality, standards compliance and accessibility. Expert knowledge of online marketing (including SEO optimisation, branding, user experience).
