The scope of the overall project is quite large and the Tester role we are seeking will primarily involve developing the business scenarios for User Acceptance Testing and creation of test scripts and their execution, for the following areas of the solution.
*Volt Delta Oasis application.
*Reports form the platform
*Call recording
*Call flows and skill based routing
*Performance management system data feeds
*Resource scheduling system data feeds
*IVR
*Wallboards
*PBX features
*Telephony admin systems
*Stress and performance testing

Responsibilities:
- Creation and updating of test plans for a variety of business applications and execution of tests on these systems.
- work with/lead business operations staff in preparing test scenarios.
- Log all test case results, anomalies and statuses and communicate same to project team.
- Co-ordinate test efforts carried out by business users and involving third parties as required.
- Support business user testing by providing appropriate test data and test conditions, supporting user test planning and ensuring change management processes are adhered to.
- Manage and co-ordinate the set up of multiple applications and test environments and the refresh of data on said systems
- Liaise with business users to ensure all changes achieve the required level of User Acceptance testing prior to release.
Key Accountabilities
oProduction of test specifications in accordance with a structured testing total life cycle methodology.
oExecution of test specifications within agreed timescales and standards.
oInput into and review of requirements specifications to ensure completeness.
oAccurate recording of test activities and tracking of defects.
oAnalysis of actual results arising from test execution.
oAssist in problem management, error assessment & prioritisation.
oEnhance the effectiveness of the testing total lifecycle process through identification of process improvements.
oTest new and existing business processes,
oBuild on knowledge of the business including products and processes to enable full understanding of the business to successfully carry out testing.
oAny other duties, which may be assigned from time to time by the Business Test Lead.
Skills
oStrong analytical ability to tease out complex test scenarios
oUnderstanding of full System Test Lifecycle
oKnowledge and understanding of the Telecommunications/ Directory Enquiry industry (advantage)
oSelf-starter and willing to take initiative in problem identification and solutions provision using a systematic and organised approach to their work
oUnderstanding of testing processes and methodology
oComputer literate e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel (essential)
oGood numeracy and literacy skills
