The role:

• Overseeing Network operations, including identifying and resolving problems, developing project plans, meeting deliverables and managing resources.
• Developing, implementing and monitoring solutions to enhance the firm's rapidly growing, highly-resilient network infrastructure.
• Actively monitoring and portraying Real Time status of the Company s network.
• Continuously improving network response time and latency.
• Overseeing network security, Internet Firewalls and VPN access.
• Managing administration of IP Telephony system.
• Understanding and recommending emerging new solutions in the networking environment.
• Implementing best in class security technology policies and procedures.
• Maintaining supplier relationships to ensure an optimal networking environment.
• Maintaining network infrastructure in accordance with industry best practices.
• Responding to service requests and service request escalations.
• Performing WAN/LAN upgrades and change-outs, communication gear installations and upgrades.
• Maintaining documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, asset inventory, and disaster recovery plan.
• Preparing and managing budgets for telecom vendor costs, hardware and software purchases, and support contracts.

• 3+ years of hands on network experience (experience in a global environment a plus).
• Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco network gear (Network certifications such as CCNA and CCNP a real benefit)
• Experience with data center and mission critical network management.
• Experience with configuration and management of standard network routing protocols
• Excellent troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities.
• ISP experience a benefit
• German language preferred
