We are currently seeking a number of individuals to join our successful team with a national Telecoms / Civils provider on the BT Openreach AAP programme.

We are actively recruiting Poling teams (consisting of 3 individuals) as part of BT’s Asset Assurance Programme throughout the South Wales area as well as the East and West Midlands, Kent and Brighton areas.

The aim of the programme is to ensure that BT’s overhead network system is maintained across the whole of the UK. The main purpose of these roles will be to recover existing D-poles that are damaged or worn and replace them with new D-Poles. The role will also require jointing the cables in line with the existing BT connections to the new pole. Where the cables have frayed or been damaged by weather etc, new cables will need to be jointed to the pole. Work will also need to be carried out in line with BT’s health and safety policy and HSE guidelines.

Because of the nature of the work, engineers / technicians will be required to work in a team of 3 and one person must hold a valid UK HGV licence to drive a 12 Tonne Pole Erection Unit (PEU). Because of the nature of the work, applicants should be physically fit and have no aversions to working at height.
