A prestigious manufacturer of luxury electronic devices are looking to recruit a motivated Post Engineering Hardware Engineer to act as technical lead to projects and programmes, addressing Hardware issues post product launch.
The focus of the role is to improve product robustness and reliability during manufacture and in the field. The role will involve finding long term solutions to design and production problems relating to component and process quality.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
Providing technical Hardware (mainly Baseband) expertise to the multifunctional PE team covering a broad remit.
Managing and planning around component obsolescence.
Organising and completing data analysis and diagnostics.
Root cause analysis of failures in manufacturing and in the field.
Identifying design solutions to Hardware issues .
Working across the organisation with Mechanical Engineers, Sourcing, Production and Suppliers to sign, test and implement hardware solutions.
Diagnosis and problem solving to component level of RF, Audio and Baseband circuits and subsystems will be a key competency and therefore this role will ideally suit Baseband Hardware Engineers who have broad experience (typically 4+ years), including some RF knowledge.
With good communication skills, you will have commercial awareness with the ability to take responsibility and make considered recommendations regarding proposed solutions.
