Protocol stack developers are sought by my international client, skills sought include, software, embedded, c, assembler, protocol stack, wireless comms, L1, L1 Control, L2 RLC/MAC, LLC, RR/RRC, device drivers, real-time, OS, thames valley OFDM, EVDO, A-GPS, 802.11/16, CDMA-1x
My client is seeking Protocol Stack developers to join their expanding Research and Development teams working on wireless technologies such as GSM/GPRS/EDGE and WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA .
Candidates will be educated to degree standard as a minimum and will have commercial software development experience. In addition my client will look to candidates with the following:
· Strong embedded C programming skills ( Assembly programming an advantage)
· Experience of memory management designs including overlays, buffering, managing caching, DMA access, bus latency and internal memory assignment
· Physical layer APIs, device drivers, knowledge of wireless baseband
· Real-time OS firmware development environment and debugging on multi-processor hardware architectures
· Knowledge of OFDM, EVDO, A-GPS, 802.11/16, CDMA-1x,
Duties will encompass evaluating, defining and designing various layers of wireless protocol stack including L1 Physical Layer, L1 Control, L2 RLC/MAC, LLC, RR/RRC etc.; establishing approaches to memory management, inter-task and inter-processor communication. They will also be responsible for investigating and resolving integration and performance related issues for the CPU, DSP and mixed signal hardware using test equipment, logging devices and ICEs.
The successful candidates will join a team focused on the development of leading-edge radio protocol stack software development for standardized wireless technologies, particularly GSM/GPRS/EDGE/E-EDGE, WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA, LTE/OFDM.
